We meet at Red Reef Park : 1400 N Ocean Blvd, Boca Raton, FL 33431, at 9 AM.

This community class is designed for mothers and caregivers to come learn the essentials of tummy time and much more.

A big part of this group is the opportunity to gather in community and be of support to one another in each other's unique mothering journey...because we are better together!

  • "Lack of social connection heightens health risks as much as smoking 15 cigarettes a day or having alcohol use disorder....Loneliness and social isolation are twice as harmful to physical and mental health as obesity." 2015 meta-analysis co-authored by Julianne Holt-Lunstad, PhD, a professor of psychology and neuroscience at Brigham Young University, 
  • In 2019, Kassandra Alcaraz, PhD, MPH, a public health researcher with the American Cancer Society, analyzed data from more than 580,000 adults, and found that social isolation increases the risk of premature death from every cause, for every race.
  • Chromosomes are the blueprint of our physical lives; they contain the recipe for our genes in the form of DNA. Telomeres are the protective caps at the end of those chromosomes (similar to the plastic tip of a shoelace). Each time an old cell divides to create a new one, a small piece of that tip breaks off, and the 'plastic tip' begins to fray. This leaves the DNA of our cells vulnerable to genetic damage and dysfunction (think: inflammatory diseases and premature aging). Historically it was understood that the two biggest factors in the diminishment of telomere length was: chronological aging and genetics. BUT, it is now understood that: stress and cortisol exposure are THE MOST consistent predictors of shortened telomere length. The most IMPORTANT way to lengthen our Telomeres is: SOCIAL SUPPORT. 

A strong social network is the biggest buffer from toxic stress. Strong social networks are more protective for our health than income and education.
